Allow me to introduce myself!

I’m Teresa! I am looking forward to getting to know you!  Some things I call tell you about me are that I am a Christian, I’m 49, I’ve been married 26 years and I have 2 sons.  Stats complete! Also I am currently finishing up my certification to be a Wellness Coach!

I grew up eating unhealthy foods.  My parents were raised in Kentucky and therefore my mother always cooked “country”.  By this I mean that pretty much everything was breaded and fried, and we had a tin of bacon grease on the stove that was used to season just about everything!  I knew that wasn’t healthy, so when I got married I started looking into healthier cooking methods.  When my mother died from Breast Cancer about 12 years ago it further cemented my desire to live a healthier lifestyle.

I started this blog because in my quest I have run into others who are looking to be healthier but struggle to understand nutrition, find good recipes (let’s face it, a lot of “healthy” recipes are just plain bad!) and lack the time and/or patience to do the research it takes.  So after sharing what I have learned and being asked for recipes, I started a Facebook page where I share tips, motivational quotes, recipes and information on health issues.  Some of my posts can be lengthier than people on Facebook want to read so that led into this blog!

I have found SO many great articles, products and resources!  I cannot wait to share them with you!!  Soon I will be posting about The Daniel Plan.  I recently bought the book and will totally share what I learn!  Thank you for taking the time to read this post!  May the Lord bless you and watch over you!!

  1. Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging, Teresa. I’m interested to hear about the Daniel plan. I’ve lost 15 pounds using Joe Cross’ juicing diet, but I hope to learn more about balancing my nutrition.
